Grosvenor Bridge

Grosvenor Bridge was designed by Thomas Harrison, and at the time was the longest single span bridge in the world. Local worthies did not believe that his design would work, so they made him build a scale model to prove it, which is still to be seen on a grassy bank below the Castle.
