Bricks

Many buildings in Chester are made from the local Ruabon brick, which is a red clay with a glazed face. Additionally, some of them have patterns in the brick. The one shown below indicates that the building either belongs, or used to belong, to the Grosvenor Estate, owned by Earl Grosvenor, the richest man in England.
