Custom House

Once upon a time, Chester was a port, and ships could sail all the way here. Then the river silted up and changed its' course, and, eventually, we became an inland city. In Watergate St there is a pub called the Custom House, and this is opposite the building where shippers of goods would come and pay their dues.
