Affixed to the north side of the Watergate is a now disused drinking fountain. It was placed there in 1857, at the height of the Victorian passion for public drinking fountains, but is sadly utilitarian in design.
On the south side of the Watergate is a smaller archway, presumably intended for pedestrians rather than horse and cart traffic, and two mysterious holes in the Walls. I have no idea what these were intended for - maybe spyholes?
