Alexander's Jazz Bar

Every Tuesday there is an Open Mic night at Alexander's, in Rufus Court, where those who wish to stand up and sing or otherwise perform can do so. Performances are variable, ranging from the not-so-hot to the outstanding. It is hosted by Mick Green and Graham Bellinger, stalwarts of the Deportees, and is free if you arrive before 9pm. I hear that Duffy used to regularly turn up, when she was a student at Chester University.
