Off the Walls III

The South East Angle Tower and Wolf Gate. The south east angle tower is outside the present day city walls, and is where the original roman walls were. The Wolf Gate is the smaller opening to the left of the Angle Tower, and was the gate in Medieval times. Legend has it that the ghost of a Roman soldier walks between the Tower and the Amphitheatre, as he was lured away from his post by one of the women camped outside the City Walls, and killed for desertion.
