Eastham Docks

Eastham Docks are adjacent to Eastham Locks, which is where the Manchester Ship Canal connects to the River Mersey. There is a slightly surreal feel to it, as it is next to a row of houses and a field which has sheep grazing in it, but still has some very big ships. The owners of the houses must wake up some mornings to find a huge new ship has parked itself outside their bedroom window.
