Chester Castle - the Agricola Tower I

The Agricola Tower was the original gateway to Chester Castle. It is 12th century, and contains a chapel with exceptionally fine wall-paintings dated about 1220. They were covered up with limewash, but were but rediscovered in the 1980s. The wall-paintings are difficult to see, but were originally exceptionally fine work. You can just about make them out in the photos below.
