Eventi Per Tutti

We went to Carluccios last night, for a meal with operatic entertainment. Both the meal and the singers were excellent, and I highly recommend it as an evening out. Carluccio's have a series of events travelling around the country, and I'm really sorry I missed the pasta-making evening. You can read more about them here: http://www.carluccios.com/events

Jack Sawbridge Sculptures

There is an exhibition of sculptures in the Cathedral currently. They are intriguing, and there is something quite womb-like about them. You can see more at http://jacksawbridge.com/

Saints Days Calendar

There isn't one for every day (there just aren't enough windows), and I think they must have started enthusiastically then tailed off, as there seem to be more for January than any other month. This is the one for today, January 17th.

Grosvenor Park Rediscovered

One of the things I had never noticed before it was pointed out to me, was the beautiful wishbone railing around the area overlooking the River Dee and Meadows. Amazing how much attention they paid to detail when first designing and laying out the park.

Cathedral Details

Wandering round the Cathedral with my camera, various small details caught my eye. They were glowing in the afternoon sun, and looked pleasingly polished and cared-for. The top two are from memorials for bishops.
