Raven Folk Club

There is a Folk Club every Sunday evening at the Bear and Billlet on Lower Bridge St. You can find more information about them here: http://www.ravenfolk.org.uk/  We went last Sunday to see Greg Russell, who was excellent.

Thorntons

On Eastgate St there is a shop which is currently occupied by Thorntons, which has the reputation of  being haunted by the ghost of a young woman. I don't normally believe in ghosts, but was walking my dogs past one quiet Sunday morning, when I noticed several the boxes of chocolates had been scattered across the floor of the shop...
